Please review some important points in regards to our check-in procedures below:
Arrive on time to your scheduled appointment and keep your pet on a leash or contained at all times (we reserve the right to re-schedule your appointment if you are more than 5 minutes late). Please make sure that we have your pets current rabies vaccination on file or bring it with you to your appointment. No service can be performed without a current rabies vaccination record on file. If you arrive early, no problem at all, we might have you wait a couple minutes outside while your groomer is finishing up with a groom. During the check-In process your groomer will go over your pets haircut with you. Please be as specific as possible or bring some pictures with you. If you are not sure what you want or what is best for your pet, no problem, we will happily give you some recommendations. We reserve the right to cancel or re-schedule your appointment, if your pet is severely matted to allow adequate time to release the matting.
Please inform us of any illnesses, medical challenges, lumps, bumps etc. before your actual appointment and make sure to mention if your pet has any dislikes like trimming nails, touching the butt, other dogs etc. Any awareness of dislikes lets us adapt our grooming process and will make it a better and safer experience for everybody involved.
All pets must be current on their rabies vaccination starting at 14 weeks of age unless an exemption note from your vet is provided. We are not able to perform any of our services without a rabies vaccination record on file. No exceptions.
It happens... no problem, but please call us and let us know! If you are more than 5 minutes late. We most likely have to cancel and re-schedule your appointment, if you are more than 5 minutes late. Our appointments are scheduled back to back and late arrivals will not give us the adequate time needed to safely and satisfactory groom your pet and will push every following appointment back as well. We hope for your understanding.
Life happens and we understand that sometimes you have to cancel your appointment. No problem, but please call us AND send an e-mail to info@vanityfursalon.com if you need to cancel your appointment with a 24 hour notice. Keep in mind that we are currently booking 6-8 weeks in advance and that re-scheduling in the near future might be a challenge. However, we will try to accommodate your pet as best as we can but can't make any promises. Please understand that groomers work on commission and that late notice cancellations are very hard to fill and therefore your groomer will most likely loose the income for your reserved spot. Please give us a 24 hour notice, so we can fill your spot.
Please arrive on time to pick up your pet. We are a by-appointment-only salon and only have a certain amount of crates available. Due to liability/insurance reasons we are not able to take your dog for a walk, so extended crating time is not preferred. If you are running late, please call us and let us know. Pick ups more than 30 minutes after notification is subject to a kenneling fee. Please make sure your pet is leashed or contained at all times during check-out. Please review your pets haircut while at the salon and let us know if there is something what is not to your satisfaction. We reserve the right to refuse do-overs after your pet left the salon for more than 24 hrs.
We know that work schedules can be challenging. To help with that we do offer extended stays for a minimal fee of $15/30min, if available. Please call ahead and check for availability! Extended Stays MUST be booked ahead!
We accept cash, checks or credit cards. Cash/checks are preferred. Cash or Venmo tips only!
